Portland New Music Society

Every Second Wednesday at 8pm

Portland New Music Society is an informal group of musicians, composers and sound artists in the greater-Portland-area who create experimental improvised and composed music. The New Music Society was started in June 2006 by Brandon Conway and Branic Howard with the help of J.P. Jenkins and Jonathan Sielaff. Since then, the group has put on many concerts at various venues around Portland (see Events and Photos pages for past events). These concert events often include first-time collaborations, premiere performances and group/audience participation pieces.
